Small Pots by Jo

JO, fromtheWolf has a new range of pots for her succulents and candles. She decorates her pots using the Mishima technique.

Mishima is a traditional Korean slip inlay technique process of incising lines into the clay then filling them with  slip, underglaze or even clay.

She makes her pots and carves them free hand when the clay is in the leather hard stage.  Then she inlays color into the lines of the carvings. It is a very simple technique and works very well with her simple designs. She basically use the same blue colour for all her pots.

Jo will be at the Dreamers Market on Nov. 1 with her new work and lots of other blue and white ceramics.
